Alright, so i've slacked off quite a lot but i finally got around to releasing a first, let's call it alpha version of my TIE library.
It's up on pypi and a quick pip install tie
should do the trick. It doesn't do much yet but should be usable, and i've got a few tweaks and features planned for v1.0.1 already.
I'm a bit ashamed that it took me a full month and a half to write up the still far from complete documentation, which was about the only thing i wanted to finish before release when I last posted about sphinx.
At first I kinda had an excuse: A hard drive crash finally prompted me to boot up on linux again, and while it didn't help with recovering the drive, it reminded me of just how kewl linux is, and i spent the following two weeks just fooling around, configuring stuff, setting up a dotfiles repository, discovering bash scripting, playing with vim... Loads of fun, and i learned a few tricks along the way, so that's cool.
But when i finally decided to get back on that documentation, well, sphinx might be awesome, but once the novelty has worn off, the uberboredom of doc writing took over. I just kept procrastinating, and what could have been wrapped up in a copple of days dragged on for a full month... I did rush it in the end, because i realized that if i let it drag any longer i was never gonna do that release. Luckily, there's not a whole lot to document right now, so this shouldn't be much of a problem. I do plan to update it a bit for 1.0.1 as well.
I'll try not to drag on too much for this next release, but i'll probably let it sleep a bit after that. Just to hack up on some other stuff for a change. I think i'll start working on this site again. I'm thinking more and more of just redoing from scratch - It was a nice first experiment with django, but it could probably be much better and cleaner - I'll also need to plan out what i want to do with it a bit more in order to structure it better.
But yeah, whatever. I can't really be bothered to say much more, so i'll just shut up and go play some dungeon crawl.
